Skip 40 Lb Permit

Permit big, bold, tuff and very smart. I have always said if fish can think Permit, Tarpon and Blue Marlin can!

The Permit is a very worthy opponent when fishing the flats and shallow waters. He has incredible eyesight and he can see like an eagle. Very hard to fool with a Fly or jig, he is a sucker for a live crab. A well placed crab will generally be received with a bite and a hooked fish.

Permit's are usually found in a little deeper water than Bone fish, Permit are found in the same places. Unlike the Bonefish the Permit love hot water. Early Spring thru Summer and early Fall is Permit time on the flats of Biscayne Bay and Key Biscayne in South Florida.

Average Size: common to 25 pounds
